Bear Tales...Radio Wish

Radio Wish
ruth dixon

I'd love to tune into the air
If I could hear instead
Of jazz-song just a cricket's prayer
Before he goes to bed.

And then I'd tune and tune and tune
Till I heard way up far
The lullaby of Mother Moon
To a baby Star

Fun Family Game

That is so FUNNY!

Body Language the game

This game of Q&A pairs two people (parent-child duos are the funniest!) to put on one silly performance.
Have one person stand with his hands behind his back.
Next, have the other person stand behind him. (on a stool or bucket if needed) and slide his hands out and around his partner.
Now pose questions for the front player to answer out loud while the other uses his arms to make accompanying gestures.
It makes a great family game!!!

Here are some questions to help get you started:
  • How do you get ready in the morning?
  • What do you do at work all day?
  • How do you make a pizza?
  • What's the best way to put on sunscreen?
  • How do you handle a swarm of mosquitoes?

No Boredom Boards

Loading the kids in the car to do some errands or going for a long ride?

Bring along a 8 x 10 inch white board and several dry-erase markers for each child. These boards are perfect for doodling, playing tic-tac-toe, games or writing to keep them busy, plus they are easy to tote and erasable.

Bear Tales....Packages

Packages
adelaide love

Isn't if fun to open packages?
Isn't it fun to guess
What's in them first?
It might be a doll
or a game or a party dress.

I like them best when they come with ribbons
And bows to be untied,
And pretty seals that you have to tear
Before you can look inside.

Bear tales... The butterbean tent

The Butterbean Tent
elizabeth madox roberts

All through the garden I went and went
And I walked in under the butterbean tent

The poles leaned up like a good tepee
And made a nice little house for me

I had a hard brown cold for a seat,
And all outside was a cool green street

A little green worm and a butterfly
and a cricket-like thing that could hop went by

Hidden away there were flocks and flocks
of bugs that could go like little clocks

Such a good day it was when I spent
A long, long while in the butterbean tent.
