You don't have to be on vacation to have some special family time. With a little creativity and imagination you can have a memorable getaway without ever leaving town...  
You just have to pretend you are a tourist. 

• Call your chamber of commerce or visitor's bureau for local brochures and maps to area attractions
• Take a nature walk at a local park, conservation area or reservoir
• Hop aboard a train, trolley, bus or subway just for the fun of it
• Look in the phone book for your area attractions
• Check you local paper for weekly activities
