Use your imagination

Who needs toys when you have a set of stairs and a sippy cup? Adrian found that with a little imagination you could invent your own game that keeps you busy as well as gives you a good work out.
Go to the top of the stairs and roll your cup down and see how far it goes. If it doesn't make it to the bottom,
slide down on your bottom, pick up the cup and return to the top of the stairs to try again.
We had a great time watching Adrian entertain himself with nothing but his cup and grandma's stairway!

The merriest sounding words!
The shining brook that travels far
Might sing them, or the birds.

Always end that way)

Bear Tales...A Dog

A Dog
aileen fisher

If you didn't have a dog
(Cause everyone should)
And you knew they were fun,
Then, of course, you would.

If you DON'T have a dog
(or at least until)
Keep asking after one,
Then, of course, you will

I have a dog...
And he's black as night,
But you can have one,
If you want, that's white.

Or you can have one
That's as brown as wood,
But you ought to have a dog
(Cause everyone should).

Horses

Horses
marchette chute

I like a lot of people
   (although it all depends)
But when it comes to horses
   I have some special friends

There is a horse named Anna
Who drove us through the Park
I held the reins a minute
  We stayed till nearly dark

There is a horse named Peter
  Who brings us daffodiles
And little pots of tulips
  To fill our window sills

There is the pickle wagon
  And one that carries grapes
They both have friendly horses
  Of different size and shapes

I met a horse on Broadway
  And what do you suppose?
He put his head down gently
And love me with his nose

card game

This game is great for improving a childs math skills

What you will need:
A deck of cards (remove the jacks and kings)
paper and a pencil

Deal five card to each player and place the rest of the deck facedown.
Starting left of the dealer, each player tries to make a math equation totaling 20 from any three of their 5 cards. (ace = 1, queens = 0 )
If you have (exp: 6,3,7,8,2) one answer would be 6x3 +2=20.
If you succeed, you get zero points.
If your answer doesn't equal exactly 20, your score for that round would be the difference between your total and 20.( such as a total of 18 or 22 would give you 2 points)
After recording your points, discard your cards and draw new ones.
Whoever has the lowest score after 5 rounds wins
