Ice Cube Trick

 I thought this old picture of my brother George, Myself and my brother Dennis would be a fun picture to share, since my blog today is on ICE. We lived in San Diego at the time and had gone  to the mountains. Snow is fun to play in, but not so fun to live in.

This is the Ice Trick for you to do with the kids. 

Challenge the kids to pick up an ice cube with a piece of string. Once they have tried (and given up), 
You can sprinkle some salt on the cube and lay the end of the string on the salted area. 
The ice will melt and then quickly refreeze, adhering to the string, which will allow them to pick up the ice cube with ease.
